The phrase “work-life balance” has always seemed off to me.
After a certain level in your career, the number of things you get done is irrelevant and it’s all about whether or not you’re working on the right things.
When I am working on the right things, I have never wondered whether I have the right balance between work and life.
It’s only when I have to spend time on things I know don’t really matter for the business that I question how much time I am devoting to work.
